Upon completion, VISA Global Logistics merged with Mondiale Freight Services, with the combined entity operating under the new business name of Mondiale VGL. Having a revenue of circa AUD $1.2 billion, Mondiale VGL will sit in the top 30 ocean freight forwarders globally.

Mondiale VGL Executive Director, Simon Hardwidge said: “This transaction is the next step in the VISA journey and we are excited about the opportunities ahead. The K&L Gates team, through their Sydney, Milan and Hong Kong offices, worked seamlessly with us and our third party advisers to successfully complete this transaction involving corporate, real property, IP and finance issues in particular.”

This global K&L Gates team advising the shareholders was led by corporate partner Clive Cachia supported by senior associate Priscilla Ng and lawyer Harriet Alexander.

Sydney based partner, Clive Cachia commented: “We are extremely proud to have been able to assist the owners of the VISA Global Logistics business in this important and market-developing transaction. We wish all the team at Mondiale VGL all the very best as they service this rapidly growing market.”
