Charleston – Global law firm K&L Gates LLP welcomes Gavin Wait as a partner in the firm’s Charleston office. Wait joins the Finance practice from Polsinelli.

Wait represents lenders and borrowers in a broad range of commercial real estate financings, with a particular emphasis on Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) and agency servicing. His practice centers on advising clients across a variety of financing transactions, including managing complex engagements and negotiating sophisticated agreements that support successful operations and long-term growth.

“Gavin’s arrival reflects our continued investment in Charleston and our ability to attract talented lawyers with strong finance capabilities,” said Jared Mobley, managing partner of the firm’s Charleston office. “His experience representing both lenders and borrowers in real estate finance transactions will enhance the services we provide to clients in the region and across our global platform.”

“Gavin brings valuable experience in commercial real estate finance and a practical approach to addressing complex legal and business challenges,” said Christine Hoke a leader of the firm’s Finance practice. “His addition strengthens our CMBS and agency servicing team and our ability to support clients across a broad range of financing matters.”
